Your highlight video is free. Events and sponsors cover the cost so every runner gets a reel.

Go to Race Reels and type your name, bib number, team, or event into the search bar — it searches every published event at once. Open an event to browse all of its reels, or keep the “Only in this event” filter to narrow your search.

You may also find your link through:

• The QR code on the back of your bib
• A link on the race results page
• An email or text from the race director

Usually within a few hours, and up to 24 hours after the race. If a reel is still processing you can share its link now — the same link plays the video once it is ready.

A typical reel includes:

• Start line
• Mid-course clips
• Finish-line moment
• Event and sponsor branding

Open your reel and tap Save (or Share → Save to Photos).

• iPhone / iPad: the share sheet opens with your video — tap Save Video to add it to your camera roll.
• Android: choose Photos, Gallery, or Files from the share sheet.
• Computer: Download saves the MP4 to your downloads folder.

Yes. Every reel has a shareable link that shows a preview card in Messages, WhatsApp, and social apps. Tap Share to send the link, copy it, or post to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook, or X.

For Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, save the video to your phone first, then post it from the app.

Yes. Every athlete has a profile page that lists their reels from every event, such as apopt.com/reels/profile.php?name=jane_hedengren. Search your name on Race Reels and tap Copy profile link, or open a reel and choose Profile.

Bib visibility is the most common cause — the cameras match runners by reading the bib. Wear your bib on the mid-torso, uncovered, for the best results. If you think your reel is missing, contact the race with your name and bib number.

That depends on how the event is configured. Events that connect their results platform can show times and link each result to the runner’s reel.

Contact the race or the support email below with your name and bib number and we will remove it.

Many youth races include highlight videos. Removal is always available on request from a parent or guardian.

Race Reels automatically assembles a short highlight reel for every participant. Each video can include:

• Start-line footage
• One or more scenic mid-course sightings

Runners receive their own unique video link; you receive engagement metrics plus sponsor visibility tied to sharable, organic content.

We keep the race-side requirements simple:

• Event roster with names and bib numbers
• Finish chute access to mount a camera 8–10 feet high
• (Optional) Attach a QR code sticker to bib backs or print bib numbers

For pilots we can run finish-line only for minimal logistics.

Yes. Self-hosted cell-phone or GoPro cameras (minimum 1080p at 60 fps) can record the race video. We provide a direct upload link for race organizers.

No. A drone is not required and is never used where it is not allowed. The system works from ground-based cameras; drone shots are optional and typically used for intro/outro footage.
